THE WAY THINGS ARE

My mindset today is; I'm lost, lost in this world. I try to find my way around but to my dismay I still get lost somehow. "Getting lost" for me works two ways either you take is as a challenge and learn from it or wallow and cry for being lost. Life may be difficult but one has to remember not to lose hope or everything will come to an end. I guess we just have to keep trying and be optimistic always and bear to mind that just around the corner we will find our way.
The only consolation I have in mind at the moment is that "things happen for a reason." We may not understand the full meaning of why things are now but that's the beauty of it, that is, if we look at it at new perspective. And life must go on...

“25 Things About Me”

“25 Things About Me”
(26-03-09)

I was inspired to write “25 things about me” after watching Ellen Degeneres show today. She relates to the audience the value of learning as part of everyday life. She's proud to say that she is learning about computers and the internet. And further mentions about social networking in the “face book” website on 25 interesting facts you can tell other people with reference to who you are as a person.

I find the idea relevant in a sense that we are constantly seeking to understand the true person we are. It is a simple “self knowing” exercise that anyone can perform. So here are some of the not so interesting and interesting things that you should know about me.

1. I love good food and junk food as well.
2. I love to be alone creepy as it sounds its true.
3. I like to work “my way and my style.”
4. I tend to be selfish and hard headed, stubborn and lazy and workaholic at the same time. Go figure if you don't know what I mean by it.
5. I live a secret life and who else doesn’t?
6. I’m a hopeless romantic.
7. I flashed my butt on webcam for the first time, it felt good and liberating.
8. I am “green” minded and love the color as well together with blue and grey.
9. I love the painting “Starry starry night” by Vangouh and the song “Vincent.”
10. I’m always horny but don’t get that much sex as I would like.
11. I value trust and can keep a secret.
12. I’m mad and crazy but soft on the side.
13. What do the following films have in common? “I am legend” “Resident Evil” “Day of the Dead” “30 Nights” and “28 Days” I love them anyway.
14. I like to think small and think big at the same time but the problem is I don’t get anywhere.
15. I like to “daydream” and sleep.
16. I love the beach the sky and the rain.
17. I have a soft heart and can be unforgiving.
18. I hate people who talks too much and make it seem it’s easy.
19. I am the “yin” and “yang”
20. I am possessive in love.
21. I love animals.
22. I am sick and healthy.
23. I have sweaty hands and feet.
24. I’d rather keep things to myself than to seek others unsolicited advice.
25. I hate myself.

So there you are the “25 things” that you should know about me.

SUBLIME

SUBLIME
(22-03-09)

Today has never been different since I saw my life slip away from me. I am now a drifter with no sense of direction and lost in this never ending nightmare. I struggle everyday to make sense of what is going on and hang on just to stay alive. At this state, I am vulnerable. But it’s ironic that despite all of these I still have hope left in me and this is the only virtue that still makes me human.

I try to make things better and put things in the right perspective but nothing seems to fit. And this is getting frustrating and even more surreal. Have I lost my mind perhaps? I don’t know what is right and wrong any more. But still in the dark where I belong now there is still a speck of light shining through giving me even the slightest sense of hope that one day I will awaken from this nightmare that continually haunt me.

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE
(17-03-09)

The “Rainbow Bridge” is suggestive of color and beauty because of the spectrum of colors that we see on a rainbow. It denotes a feeling calm, of bliss, of freedom, joy and happiness from all the pain and suffering in the world caused by man towards animals. It is where all creatures big and small go after enduring long moments of neglect, disease, hunger, pain and abuse. To me, it’s simply “animal heaven.”

I came across of the term on “You tube” one afternoon browsing for worthwhile and entertaining videos to watch from weird things people do on cam to get instant stardom and fame to awareness on the environment like “earth hour,” to lovable and cute pets and animals and animal abuse. Yes, animal abuse, the unthinkable and heartless acts of irresponsible pet owners do to their pets. I must admit, I love animals and pets, specially dogs and I am totally against animal abuse and maltreatment.

I was totally unprepared for what I have seen; I was immediately heart broken from what I saw on the videos. Cats and dogs dumped anywhere just because their owner cannot afford to take care of them anymore and ending up in city pounds and death row for the unlucky ones not fit for animal adoption. In Australia, 60,000 dogs are “put to sleep” every year because there are not enough homes for them. Emancipated dogs all tied up with heavy chains hungry and cold. An injured dog all beaten up more so with bites marks on its face and some even with skin peeled off all for a perverted entertainment. A blinded cat and many more acts of cruelty to animals. These are the animals and pets which at some point took them as part of our family and simply decided to shut the doors out for them in the end. And I guess the love has finally ran out for these once loved and pampered members of the family and are doomed to suffer and die.

Owning a pet entails big responsibility and more so “TLC” (tender loving care) every responsible pet owner is aware of this. Other than that one has to consider the expense that comes with that responsibility of having a pet. And so it is practical to think twice or more before deciding to have one.

For those reading this post I encourage you to be more responsible and loving to your cats and dogs at home. Love them and they will love you back even more. Please help stop the abuse and cruelty on animals. We can all make a difference.

This post is dedicated to “Missy” my beautiful and loyal dog who past away October 2008 who I miss dearly and to all the abused animals around the world.

And by the way the dog pictures that you see on my profile are “S.T., Coco, and Powder.”

EARTH HOUR

EARTH HOUR
(16-03-09)

I just wonder how it felt for astronauts seeing how beautiful Earth is from outer space. It must have been a breathtaking experience for them and more so a life changing one.

Indeed from a distance the world is strikingly beautiful more so unique from all other planets for it is able to support life. But alas! It is sad to note that beauty is skin deep specially now when man has crossed his boundaries. Mother Earth is sick and if we don’t do anything about it now it will soon die and life as we know it will die with it. Its high time that we do something about it now or we will be on the losing end.

I say stop, look and listen. It is important to be aware. Do what you can do to help Mother Earth. You can make a difference.

MOMENTS OF SILENCE

MOMENTS OF SILENCE
(14-03-09)

Silence is deafening
And it can be overwhelming
It can be so cold
As that’s how I was told

Opportunely! It is something reassuring
That I have found to be enduring
And one can be at peace
At times like this

Silence is everything
In a world too disturbing
It is a priceless commodity
All because of its oddity

Time seems to stop
When silence is at top
So do think twice
And you will be surprised

TODAY

My insights today
Nothing complicated
It is plain and simple
Nothing unusual
I just continue to dream, dream, dream
And who knows
Things will be better.
